If you do not have a Web For Actors website yet, build the free one first. It takes about 76 seconds and you can upgrade from inside it.
If you are happy with how your site looks and you are not planning to add more photos or credits, the free version may be exactly right. Careers go on hold. Classes finish. That is a perfectly good reason to stay free.
Here is what changes if you do not.
Your own domain name
Having a website is one thing. Having your own name in front of it is another. Every premium member gets one domain name hosted, with a personal email address at it. Already own a domain? We will walk you through pointing it here, which only premium members can do.
Every design, not two
Premium opens the whole catalog, and you can switch between them whenever you like without rebuilding anything. New ones keep arriving. On the free plan you keep the two.
No storage cap
Premium members have no quota. We cannot offer that on the free plan, where there is a limit of 5 photos per website. For some people that is plenty. If it is not, this is the reason to move.
It tells you what changed
Running between LinkedIn and YouTube, Stage 32 and Vimeo, Backstage and IMDb, adding things in each. What is still current? What is missing where? Premium watches those accounts and tells you every time it spots something new, so you are not the one keeping track.
The price goes down
Premium steps down the longer you stay: $15 a month becomes $14 after a year and $12 after two, and $150 a year becomes $140 and then $120. Nothing to claim and no code to enter. It happens on the anniversary.

Okay, but what does all that mean?
Designs. The plan is to build 100 detailed website designs made for actors. Seen one elsewhere you would rather have? Tell us and we will move it up the list. Here is the list of every design there is now.
Support. The most important part of the mission statement is helping actors get where they are going, whether or not you can afford to pay us a few dollars a month. There are several ways to reach us, and I will be bold enough to put my own address here: t.miecz@gmail.com.
Your own domain. The name people type into a browser. Usually your own, as in www.YourName.com. Without one your address is www.webforactors.com/YourName instead. We recommend a .com, and if you already have one you can transfer it to us. We will not let it expire, and if you ever go elsewhere you take it with you.
Your own email. Not just any address, but one at your own domain, so you can write from me@YourName.com. There are good reasons to have both, and the blog goes into them.
The loyalty step-down. Premium gets cheaper the longer you stay, on either billing cycle. Monthly goes $15, then $14 after a year, then $12 after two. Yearly goes $150, then $140, then $120. You do not have to ask for it and there is no code to enter. It happens on the anniversary.
Tools. More than one person has said "the website is one thing, but I am subscribing for the tools". This page would run long describing all of them, so if you still want convincing, here is what every tool does.
Cancel or downgrade whenever you like.
Yearly subscribers who cancel inside the first 30 days get a partial refund of $79.
There is no refund on the monthly plan once a domain has been selected.
If you have not selected a domain and you are inside the 30 day window, cancelling or downgrading is a full refund.
